Cultivating authentic Christian community is one of the things we are constantly trying to do at Mount Vernon Place UMC. In the church, the words, "fine, thank you" should never be an acceptable response to the question, "How are you?" We seek to be intentional about creating a place where we can come and share whatever is happening in our lives, trusting that people will support us, encourage us, laugh with us and pray with us. One of the most formational ways in which individuals experience community is through our community small groups. Organized by geography, these groups are inwardly growing, outwardly focused small groups that meet weekly for a shared meal, Bible study, fellowship, prayer and service in the city. There are currently several community groups meeting.  If you would like to participate in a group, please contact Pastor Donna to find the group that is right for you.
